Tag reading and tracking functions. LCU integrated antenna allows smart tags to be placed up to six inches from the system during tag reading and writing. No fixed support is necessary and multiple fields can be read at the same time. Tags can be initialized with barcode or keyboard entry. Additional material information can be retrieved from a local database. Applicable process rules and calculations are completely automated, reducing time-consuming, error-prone manual procedures.

Real-time information display and alarms. Real-time material status and location is displayed for the production personnel. Warnings and alarms are generated whenever operator intervention is required. Multiple LCUs networked throughout production allow for tracking of material from one end of the factory to the other.

Small footprint and user-friendly interface allow for flexibility on the factory floor. The LCU is modular and upgradeable to handle future applications and products, and can be integrated with other factory systems.
